Double glazed units can fail which will cause them to mist up over time. When this happens it is generally a problem with the perimeter edge seal, which keeps the vacuum space between the panes of glass. The seal then lets air and moisture into the vacuum, destroying it and causing condensation on the inside of the glazing.
Condensation on the inner side of the panes is practically impossible to remove and reduces the efficiency of the double glazed unit. It also obstructs the view from the window.
A misted unit will need to be replaced. You will also require a replacement for a broken double glazed unit.
The good news is that both of these problems can be remedied without replacing the window. The double glazed unit is designed to be removed and replaced. With over 20 years experience we can replace the unit for you. We also replace sealed units in doors.
